Should the writer be joking about something that's quite so close to being painfully derivative, especially as the fans had already noticed?

Though I suppose both could be viewed as being derivative of Tetsujin 28-go/Gigantor

I wouldn't call Sentinel a particularly derivative work because Japan has a whole "kid and his giant robot" genre.

God, I love Sentinel. I had always hoped we'd see another ongoing series, but then McKeever went and jumped to DC to continue the screwing over of Teen Titans.

It was a 5-issue mini-series in 2006 that wrapped up the book's loose threads and featured an awesome STEALTH SENTINEL.
