I kind of love the idea of a grown up Billy basically taking Superman's place. Clearly that's not where this is going, but it's still something that I've always thought would be interesting and a logical place for the character to go.

Not sure how I feel about this change from the old Beyond stuff, where from what I understand Superman was actually getting weaker, something I can't recall seeing before.

Also, dude on the cover next to Supes totally looks like the current Scarlet Spider.

I like the idea of Billy being the new "Superman" too. It's Kingdom Come done right in that Billy did grow up, he is indeed now probably the most powerful being in the world (with Superman not what he used to be) and at the height of his powers, he's not mind-controlled/evil/used as a pawn by villains and as a full grown man gets the respect he deserves (the thing I've hated how Cap/Shazam is treated even in this rebooted DCnU version is how little respect he gets and how other characters in-universe who have no powers mocked him/Mary/Freddy pretty the whole Family for no good reason).

So the new Flash can communicate with past/future speedsters (depending on when Bart is speaking from)? An interesting addition to the concept of "All speedsters become part of the Speed Force"

This looks like a really fun and interesting book so I do hope it doesn't start with a fridge death. Love that Barda and Miracle are on the team and that Billy is called Captain Marvel... Is Wonder Woman around at all? What's, hopefully fashioned from clay, Diana up to in this time?

I always thought that one of the best schemes for dealing with Superman would be to make him so powerful he'd be out of control. I like this idea.

You know, I have been wondering.. How did CM handle that he left the League because the Big 7 were extremely doubtful of Luther's intentions dispute the lack of proof to prove show... only to have them absolutely right, they he defended and support an insane sociopath that would have rule/destroyed the world...

Captain Marvel's/Shazam's magic can't solve this because it's "a natural problem"?

If their magic can't solve "natural problems," isn't there a lot more they shouldn't be able to do? Like prevent natural disasters from destroying property & killing people?
