Captain Marvel shazams up the wizard Shazam:





Superman figures out that the outside force controlling the robot originated from the Phantom Zone, so he goes there to investigate.





In one of the Phantom Zone's "zones of solidity" (areas of Krypton that housed Phantom Zone projectors, so that the planet's explosion blasted them into the Phantom Zone), he finds the culprit - a strange boy with telekinetic powers.

My guess is robot - judging from the lettering. Superman used to have robot doubles in the old days didn't he?

I really, really like the casting of the wizard Shazam as a cantankerous old man. This book keeps having elements and ideas about Captain Marvel that I so want to see expanded upon.

Yeah, one of the more interesting things about Captain Marvel was that he was both a man and a boy. Adding a third age to the mix is a natural extension of that premise.

Yeah, the characterization of the Wizard Shazam looks pretty fun--though I can't help but think that having BIlly bring him up to solve problems makes him almost redundant. I think the New 52 Shazam works a little better in that regard in making him able to actually use magic spells instead of just being a strong guy who can summon a magic guy.
