Brainiac...Nth metal...Themyscira...it's like they're chucking various bits of the DCU into a blender and presenting the end result.

Wonder where this goes, though.

I rather like the seemingly random elements coming into play, I like glimpses of the bigger world which has it's own stories we're just not hearing about at the moment.

Amethyst being able to use Kryptonian crystals is a neat idea (and in the pre-Crisis continuity Gemworlders did have a bit of an affinity with Jewel Kryptonite)

It makes more sense in context. Basically, stealing Nth metal is the first thing that Braniac's did

Personally, I feel that if you're going to play with the future of the entire DCAU, you might as well use all of it.
