Four scans from Mighty Avengers #27.

Last issue ended by promising to unveil a new Avengers HQ; while Quicksilver and USAgent are off investigating some Inhumans-related business, everybody else takes a look at the new base.

This segment begins with the team (most of it, anyway) still standing in what looks like the old HQ; Cassie notes that this may just be a blonde moment, but things don't look that different.  Herc agrees.  Hank beckons everybody through one of the doors...

I'm not sure that look of imperious malevolence is the best way to keep your disguise, Loki (though that's well in keeping with his actions in Thor, I suppose, where he walks around like a cackling supervillain and nobody noticed until it was far too late).

Why do you hate Slott?

He helped destroy Spider-Man and wrote some of the worst Spider-Man stories in the past fourty+ years. And he's helping Joe Quesada in ruining Marvel.

Well, k, let me change that line, I don't hate Slott, I just hate his writing, and his every idea on what superheroes and Spider-Man in particular, are supposed to be about.

I don't read Spider-Man so I haven't seen any of this in action. ;)

My only sustained experience with his work is through She-Hulk, which was generally awesome, although mighty strange by the end.

Thing was fun on his watch. And he wrote Squirrel Girl well.

Breathing into a paper bag might help.

Oh that wasn't me being angry. That's just me stating the facts. There hasn't been a single good issue of Amazing since Brand New Day started. And as a Spidey fan, the idea of seeing the utterly moronic loser currently featured in ASM being called Peter Parker, is absolutely disgusting.
