Here's a Ray Bradbury story adapted by EC comics in 'Tales from the Crypt' #36.
The bulk of the story follows Mr. Benedict's ways of taking out his frustrations on the corpses via ways of 'punishment' in response to their actions as people.
"He...he couldn't be buried under all these gravestones!"
Clearly clones are in play here. Or some kind of alternate universe theory. But the important lesson here is that Mr. Benedict constantly looks like he's halfway through transforming into a werewolf.
Also, more seriously, thanks for posting this! First time I've seen this Bradbury story.
You'd think Mr. Benedict would've checked on Mr. Blythe first, if being brought in as dead and then waking up before he could be embalmed was so common an occurrence.
Never seen this one before... and now I may not sleep at all tonight... that's some seriously warped shenanigans right there ... and the thing that he does to the old maid is a whole level of horror beyond anything I've read in even one of these stories.

Bottom line: If slash, feminism or anti-oppressive practice makes you react negatively, scans_daily is probably not for you.
