I sometimes post Bradbury stories around this time of year. Here is one I haven't shared yet.

It’s been a while since since I last shared this so here is EC’s adaptation of a Ray Bradbury classic.

Here’s a story in memory of Ray Bradbury who passed away on this date in 2012.

"My first real experience with real horror came at the hands of Ray Bradbury – it was an adaptation of his story 'Mars is Heaven!' on Dimension X. This would have been broadcast around 1951, which would have made me four at the time. I asked to listen, and was denied permission by my mother. 'It's on too late,' she said, 'and it would be much too upsetting for a little boy your age.' ... I crept down to the door to listen anyway, and she was right: it was plenty upsetting... I didn’t sleep in my bed that night; that night I slept in the doorway, where the real and rational light of the bathroom bulb could shine on my face." -- Stephen King, Danse Macabre

I missed my Bradbury retrospective this year so to make up for it here is an old story from Ray.

Today is Ray Bradbury’s 100th birthday. This is the final story I’ll be posting. It’s one I’ve shared before but I feel it’s the best comic based off his work.

The next installment in the Bradbury centennial is 'The Black Ferris'. This is a significant Bradbury story in that it served as a dry run for the novel 'Something Wicked This Way Comes'.

August 22, 2020 marks Ray Bradbury's 100th birthday. To honor the occasion I will post a few of his stories throughout the remainder of the week.

I haven't been posting much EC due to Nailbiter this year so here's an old classic. It's from the black and white Fantagraphics series but I think this one works better without color.

"[Krigstein's] second EC job, 'The Flying Machine' [...], was a bona fide comics classic, a rare instance where the artist's style and script were in perfect harmony. Original author Ray Bradbury thought so, too. In a letter [...] Bradbury wrote: '"The Flying Machine" is the finest single piece of art-drawing I've seen in years. Beautiful work: I was so touched and pleased by the concern for detail.'"

Ray Bradbury passed away this month back in 2012, I figured I'd share an old comic based on a story he wrote to remember his work.

For Halloween here is EC's adaptation of one of Ray Bradbury's most (in)famous stories.

So each June I sometimes try to post a Bradbury comic or two in his memory. EC did numerous Bradbury adaptations and 'The Lake' is probably the strongest.
