"Why else would you put on a costume, rather than hand out cups of soup?"
I wish they stopped asking that question. We have already been given the answer, again and again and again.
It's because superheroes save the whole planet, occasionally the whole universe, on a regular basis. They save the whole city practically every weekend. Handing out cups of soup wouldn't be much help if the water in the soup is laced with Joker venom.
"You're too late, Justice League! With one press of this button, all the world's nuclear weapons will detonate! HA! What?-Someone's poured a cup of soup into the console!
"Hah! Never underestimate the power of Soup-er Man! Once I was just a humble soup kitchen worker, but on the day a supervillain attacked...etc and so on...".
Well I think we're ready to pitch this one. We'll need a tie-in with the Joker or Harley for the launch issue -probably Harley- just so the covers guy has something to put the publicity grabber on, but other than that we're ready to go.
1.) It immediately did that annoying Batman Book thing where they all tied together into an ongoing story that makes no sense unless you buy all the Batman titles.
2.) They 'killed' Tim. I was mostly here for Tim. I know that he's really just 'on the shelf' until they push the Watchmen storyline further along, but I wasn't going to hang out until then..
This last panel is making my question my decision.
Basically Tim designed the entire place and the room she went into is a sort of Danger Room, but it uses left over bits of Clayface and it's called the Clay room.
My guess is after this arc she's either going to A.) go to college and continue living the dream she and Tim had. or B.) Realize Tim isn't dead and continue off on that subplot.
Speaking from personal experience, if you can't stand the heat stay the hell out the kitchen Steph. You get into a business like that, newsflash, mofos are gonna die around you. Im so sick of the "lets blame Batman for the indirect death of so and so".
Don't forget that she's in a bad place mentally and was fed lines by the First Victim. She's lashing out because she's angry and sad, and has every right to be given the events if the last month or so. The FV is capitalizing on that to take advantage of her and destabilize the team, and it looks like it's working well so far.
Oh,she has every right to be angry and sad, i'm just saying it shouldn't be directed at Batman. In one way or another they sought him out and chose to live that lifestyle. At what point does she hold Tim and herself accountable? And the FV are obviously trying to isolate Batman,so why are you playing into their hands? Like i said, I'm over the whole "Thanks for nothing Batman" thing. Never been a fan of the non adopted members of Bat family
She's not thinking clearly, that's why she's directing her anger at Batman and going through all this other stuff. Again, the First Victim is manipulating her and using her anger to work against the team and destabilize it, all from a small kernel of truth. The serpent in the garden, in a way. That's the point. She's vulnerable and wants someone to blame, and when that's the case, reason and logic go out the window. The FV didn't need to make an airtight case, and her reaction is very believable.
