I wish they stopped asking that question. We have already been given the answer, again and again and again.

It's because superheroes save the whole planet, occasionally the whole universe, on a regular basis. They save the whole city practically every weekend. Handing out cups of soup wouldn't be much help if the water in the soup is laced with Joker venom.

Okay, so I dropped this book because:

1.) It immediately did that annoying Batman Book thing where they all tied together into an ongoing story that makes no sense unless you buy all the Batman titles.

2.) They 'killed' Tim. I was mostly here for Tim. I know that he's really just 'on the shelf' until they push the Watchmen storyline further along, but I wasn't going to hang out until then..

This last panel is making my question my decision.

Speaking from personal experience, if you can't stand the heat stay the hell out the kitchen Steph. You get into a business like that, newsflash, mofos are gonna die around you. Im so sick of the "lets blame Batman for the indirect death of so and so".

From meta-standpoint it almost feels like Bruce is put on trial for all the abuse she put Stephanie (and rest of the family) through pre-Flashpoint.
