1) Human Torch feels out place already in this series, but being taken out by Sabretooth off-camera felt...odd. Yes, they fight on-panel, but the last we see is Sabretooth saying 'let's see how far that gets ya' and then being told he lost. Unless Johnny has had a power downgrade, this seems like it should have been a draw. I realize the main story reason is he's protecting the others, but still felt off to me. Possibly an art issue more than story.
2) Should Laura be this bloodthirsty? I mean, they spend a lot of time making the emphasis that they don't want to kill anybody, just incapacitate them. They suggest here she was trying to murder them, which isn't just off-mission, I thought laura was less kill-happy than that.
On the one hand, the X-Men do a lot of line-crossing in this issue. Dumping people in Limbo, waging a full-scale war on a foreign government's capitol...
But at the same time, I really don't think they're wrong. Medusa says they're trying to help, and that's true, but she's also flat-out refused to do the one thing she knows will end the threat to mutant kind. And I get that her first duty is to her people, and that she'd be reluctant to trade the future of her people for the future of another people.
But...
A) Being an Inhuman is as much cultural as it is about Terrigenesis. And yes, undergoing that is a big part of that culture. But their history and values would still live on without the cloud.
B) The cloud is not the only remaining Terrigen in the world (I don't think, anyway). It's just the last of Atilan's.
C) You can damn well bet that if it was the reverse, that if a cloud was creating mutants and killing Inhumans, Black Bolt would have already screamed it out of existence.
