For a way-too-belated 75th anniversary post, (check out some kickass previous scanposts on the occasion here, here and here!) here's some prime Wonder Woman coverage. Check it!
Story One serves as a continuation of the kickass The Legend of Wonder Woman digital series:
Story One serves as a continuation of the kickass The Legend of Wonder Woman digital series:

Diana takes down Red Panzer, and discovers something surprising about Von Gunther:

Red Panzer shoots down the planes, forcing Diana into a "save the innocents" diversion play. Baroness taunts her, saying that " the mighty Wonder Woman cannot save everyone. Fight it as you will, but..."

As Von Gunther escapes, Wonder Woman takes care of other business. Still shaken by the Baroness' words, she touches down in Warsaw.

Man, that quote is beautiful. Anyway, Diana seeks out Von Gunther's airship, demanding an audience.

"I may never defeat the darkness in humanity, but hope will forever bloom from it and fill me with strength.
Do what is right, Paula. Fight for hope."
Von Gunther, now free from duress, recommandeers the ship away from Axis control. The story ends with this:

Anyway, I miss Legend of Wonder Woman . I hope Renae De Liz fixes whatever professional troubles she's having and find her way back to a Vol. 2.
This next story comes from Gail Simone (writing) and Colleen Doran (art). Superman's getting his ass kicked by a mad scientist's version of classic villain Titano the Kryptonite Ape.

I love Superman's casual "Think I'll tag out instead." Look at that face, that's Golden Age smugness there.
Diana holds Titano at bay, wheedling out the guy's plan: apparently, he's going to wipe the Earth, save for a few hot women that he'll use for repopulation, including...

Wonder Woman frees Titano from his mind-control, and uses her words to sooth the ape:

The immediate threat defused, Diana turns her attention to her little new superhero acquaintance:

And the story ends with Diana taking Star-Blossom for a ride on her invisible plane. It is glorious.
Anyway, this was a wicked good read! I think Rebirth's the best time for DC to revive Sensation Comics, the writer shortlist being Simone and Marguerite Bennett if she's not busy world-building the Bombshells universe or something.
