Good Lord, with all the powers of the Nazi propaganda machine, when it came to creating their own twisted superheroes - the best they could come up with was "Captain Nazi"?
Oh yeah, this arc. It was rather interesting and I really did like the small moment at the very end of it when things were back to normal that Mr. Terrific reached out to the woman writing things down when she was a child and helped her out by paying for her college and everything. Very nice. It's the little things that I appreciate.
"And because it's a wooden crate, I have to lift it indirectly by controlling the dirt underneath it. Good lord, it just exploded! Thank my lucky stars I didn't just try to lift it physically! And why am I narrating to myself?"
"Boy oh boy, this situation sure does remind me of a song about the USA's brutal history of slavery, usually sung from the point-of-view of the slaves..."
I don't care how "classic comics" the scenario is, portrayals of Nazi villains as saturday morning cartoon goofballs like this will never not be garish and in incredibly poor taste. You cannot BAM BIFF POW away the context of WW2 and the Holocaust.
Not exactly saying you can only be like Uber if you want Nazi villains, but be more down to earth and observant of history, please.
Err, they're not Saturday morning cartoon characters. Here they kill members of the JSA, and in the arc itself brutally oppress the world. I don't think a single member is given the slightest redeeming trait.
Hydra, they ain't.
Granted, their costumes/name leave a little to be desired, but that's par for the course in comics.

(I'd wonder that any of them can keep those names with a straight face, but Captain Nazi's front and center here.)
