To be fair, obstacles doesn't necessarily mean they were all bad people. The guy at Arkham seemed genuinely concerned for him. Just that they were more obstacles in his way, and that someone (say for an example a racist) might see it as people of color trying to harm or stop the poor, helpless white man. Like I said, it's more than likely I'm looking too much into it, but it still made me feel uncomfortable.
