This is an adaptation of The Hedge Knight, a novella written by George R.R. Martin and the first part of 'The Tales of Dunk of and Egg'. The Dunk and Egg stories are prequels to A Song of Ice and Fire (or Game of Thrones if you're a show watcher), taking place a little less than a hundred years before the beginning of the series. It's the Martin equivalent of The Hobbit in that it's a lot less grim and violent than the main series (although there is still some violence later on) and lighter in tone overall. And if you're a fan of Brienne of Tarth... George. R.R. Martin has revealed that she is descended from Dunk, the hero of this story.

In regards to the publisher... the first three issues were published by Image and the second three were by Devil's Due Publishing. Marvel went on to publish the trade and later released the sequel. Those editions are now out of print but have been reprinted by Jet City Comics. The whole thing is complicated.
