So according to Bleeding Cool, 2013 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie producer Micheal Bay was talking about the new movie at 'Nickelodeon Upfronts' last week. Here's what he had to say:

IDW's TMNT #4

Hello, Scans_Daily! I'm a little late today, but here is TMNT Issue 4, with 7.5 of 22 pages. Once again I'm going through the story, so spoilers under the cut!
Last time, we saw Casey and Raphael getting lured into a trap by the cat-mutant, Old Hob and his gang...

( Showdown )

IDW's TMNT #3

And I return as promised, with more heroes in a half-shell in Teeneage Mutant Ninja Turtles Issue #3. Again, I'm running through the storyline in this entry, so spoilers beyond the link!
7 of 22 pages posted.
( Change is the only constant. )
I have to say, I really, REALLY love Dan Duncan's artwork in this book. It's rough like I'd want a New York-based comic to be, has so much freaking character to it, and the marker-style inking is PERFECT...also, the colorist is Ronda Pattison, who's done work on Atomic Robo, Next Men, and Godzilla: Kingdom of Monsters. A woman comic artist working on MY Turtle book? YAY. <33

IDW's TMNT #2

So, reality kind of kicked my butt for awhile, and I haven't been on Scans_Daily in months. Man I missed you guys! <3
And I never continued my scans of IDW's new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle series, which I started with Issue #1 back in Septmber. Time to rectify this. This time, I'm going more in-depth with the story, so be forewarned, there be spoilers about!
I've got 7 of 22 pages, plus a preview panel from Issue #1. When last we read TMNT, a homeless Raph has just barged into a home where a father was beating his son, Casey. Raph doesn't like bullies...

( The beginning of a beautiful friendship... )
I'll probably do one issue post a week until I catch up to the series, then wait a month so I can do 7-page entries for each issue. I also highly recommend that if you like what I post, to pick up the ongoing and/or the first TPB (with issues #1-5)
Now a question to the MOD's: The TMNT series currently has a microseries going, showcasing each individual turtle. It plays into the storyline of the ongoing, so does it count as a separate entity and scan accordingly, or use it as part of the ongoing?

IDW's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1

So while the big comic buzz last week was the beginning of DCNu, a certain well-known franchise got it's own fresh start. IDW launched the new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #1 on Wednesday, and I feel it's my obligation as longtime TMNT fangirl to share.
Now, I while there are some spoilers behind the cut, none of them are super huge, so use personal discretion. One of the scans has a moment of physical abuse, so I'll put up a trigger warning to be extra careful...
Also, this is my first time posting an entry here, so I kindly ask you tobe gentle let me know if I've broken a rule/missed something so I can fix it. ^^
( Hey hey, the gang's all... )

Silent Hill: Past Life #1
Feb. 1st, 2011 03:16 pm![[personal profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/user.png)
The Silent Hill series, like most everything else, got a fair share of spinoffs once it got popular. The comics, however, were almost all awful, as one of the abiding characteristics of Silent Hill tie-ins is that they're inevitably done by people who don't understand why the games work as well as they do. The key is that the best games in the series are more psychological than anything else, and the people working on Silent Hill: Past Life seem to actually get that.
Past Life began a few months ago, and is set in the years immediately following the Civil War, when Silent Hill and the towns surrounding it are still small and largely unremarkable. Jebediah, a former soldier and outlaw with a violent past, is coming to Silent Hill with his pregnant wife Esther to make a fresh start.
Silent Hill loves that kind of thing.
( seven pages from issue #1 )
