I find it interesting that while kidfics are a popular genre in English language fanfics, they almost never appear in doujinshi unless said kid is canonical (Chibiusa and Hotaru in Sailor Moon, Vivio in Nanoha). The story presented below is one of these rare exceptions. The author, Kazuma Kodaka, is extremely popular in both Japanese and Western BL (M/M manga) fandoms for her masculine designs and macho topics (sports, gangs etc.). Her most famous manga is "Kizuna". The fancomic below is first in the series of very long Yuri On Ice doujinshi (fancomics) set in an omegaverse - an alternate universe where humans have reproductive cycles similar to cats. Unlike most English fics, this story focuses on relationship and family fluff and surprisingly doesn't have explicit scenes. I love it due to the art style, closely resembling that of original anime, as well as general cuteness. Five pages out of eighty translated by Passing-Ghost.

This time I wanted to focus on author rather than the comic. Mikiyo Tsuda for over twenty years has co-authored various manga with Eiki Eiki. The two women are inseparable. They have written shoujo (manga for girls, usually with M/F romance), BL (M/M manga), yuri (F/F manga), as well as manga dealing with transgender and crossdressing characters (her first manga was a somewhat fantastic story about a transgender girl). In Western fandoms, their works are disliked due to androgynous character designs, said crossdressing themes and heavy reliance on neko/tachi stereotypes regardless of the gender of characters. The doujinshi in question is a long love scene between Shinji and Kaworu I chose to highlight a romantic trope frequently happening in manga. Four pages out of twenty, translated by Arigatomina.

Kouga Yun is an accomplished mangaka whose works are usually difficult to categorize. Her most famous works are “Earthian” and “Loveless”, she has also provided the character designs for “Gundam 00” anime and wrote a side story collection (gaiden) for the series. She continues creating doujinshi for works she particularly likes. Below is an excerpt (14 pages out of 51) from the Polish translation of her Kaworu/Shinji doujinshi courtesy of Alvis, with original English translation (which I unfortunately don’t have access to) by DokiDoki. Behold my dance of squee over the first English-licensed manga from my personal yaoi rockstar, Kou Yoneda! These are scans from her breakout hit debut No Touching at All, AKA Doushitemo Furetakunai (どうしても触れたくない). It's elegant, funny, and well-plotted(!) yaoi, and it makes me cry every goddamn time I read it.

The background: Techie Shima is the new employee starting at a computer company, and he wants to keep his personal past private and to not make waves. His taciturn awkwardness catches the attention of gregarious section chief Togawa, whose friendly overtures soon turn to flirtation. Still scarred from the ugly breakup with an emotionally abusive boyfriend/coworker at his last job, Shima is deeply reluctant to start a new office romance. But Togawa is slowly drawing Shima out of his shell through the power of, umm, personal charm.

True love, really.
