Really, the only consideration was making it a funny line, clearly, but, two comments:
1) It actually isn't terribly unreasonable to believe he's never seen a personal computer. He grew up in the Monitor's satellite, and it's not impossible that he never peeked in on someone using a PC in the 5 years they were trapped. The Bat-computer, the JLA's computer banks, that big holographic array Oracle had...he's almost guaranteed to have caught them...but a PC...it's not hard to believe they never thought to watch anyone who was busy at one.
2) Conversely, he could be an ubergeek. And geeks frequently refer to computers as boxes.
Founded by girl geeks and members of the slash fandom, scans_daily strives to provide an atmosphere which is LGBTQ-friendly, anti-racist, anti-ableist, woman-friendly and otherwise discrimination and harassment free.
Bottom line: If slash, feminism or anti-oppressive practice makes you react negatively, scans_daily is probably not for you.
