So, Triumph is all but dead from the earlier part of the story....*cue fans yay's*
I found these two pages really moving. As Triumph realizes being a hero isn't just a game and so on. Though sadly people after this arc tend to forget about that and just play up his ass hatness.
And Triumph takes a quick notice that the aliens seem to be responding to himself at this point.
During the battle Triumph's been trying to remember how he and his league had hurt the aliens the first time around and finally remembers it was sound (as done by Black Canary at the original battle)
The plasma like aliens begin beating on Triumph with fake versions of the Leaguers attacks and looks (thus why there's a gooy Hal on this page). Triumph figures out they're synthetic organisms not trying to damage Earth's core but are just trying to get to their ship and get out, which after much work Triumph was finally able to decode the transmissions they use to mass organize and communicate.
Fire makes one last attempt with Arion, trying to get him to help her communicate with Tora's spirit. Arion tells her she's at peace with her ancestor's and no longer in pain.
And so Triumph joined the JLA (Taskforce) and the issue ends with the fading out all the Zero Hour tie ins of the time had. Alas his tenure on the TaskForce was rather minor and he and J'onn butted heads often, which also made me HATE J'onn for being such a dick.
Shall I continue telling Triumph's story? Perhaps.

(2) Wait, wait, you WORKED on that suit and ended up with--never mind.
(3) The crotch. It's...almost hypnotic. Oh wait, no it's not.
(4) The 90s. It BURNS.
(5) Isn't this the guy that Grant Morrison turned into a statue? I knew there was a reason I love Grant.

Doesn't seem like a very good lesson to me. Doesn't seem like it says anything good about more everyday heroes (firefighters, cops, etc).
Do love J'ohn's "continuity errors give me a headache" facepalm, though.

Soylent Green, on the other hand, is still people.
