Greg Scott'll be picking those up following Robert Hack's guesting this month.
Gaydos's art and Duane Swiercyznski's writing started this Philadelphia-crime-story take on the Archie Comics character off strongly.
How they ended the initial arc, with the hero confronting the villain, was nicely done.
( It was a tight little bit. )

"I want a really long run on this book. There, I said it. Probably jinxed it too. But I'm in it for the long haul, because there's no better way to explore a character." -- Greg Weisman

"People always accuse politicians of being evil. I thought, what if one really worshipped the devil? Marlinspike is the malevolent demon behind Jack. Is there something about the state of our political system that would attract an ambitious, manipulative demon? It seems likely he'd feel right at home, maybe be more adept at gaming the system than the most seasoned real-life political operatives. What if he decided he wanted a puppet president? What if his candidate was a loud mouth corrupt politician from the middle of nowhere, with a history of dirty money and sex scandals? Could they pull it off? Under the right circumstances...would we let them?"

"I keep coming back to, why has no one thought of this? This is like a Mark Millar idea. It seems so obvious, but it's been very engrossing, going back to the roots of Santa, the Siberian shamanistic kind of version of it, and then you've got the character Sinterklaas, and everything built up towards the familiar guy that we know." -- Grant Morrison
