This is less of a traditional post and more of a review/preview of the manga. I enjoy manga a lot but the serialized nature of a lot of series has me seeking out stories that are already completed. As a a fan of Let the Right One In and similar works, I thought Happiness by Shuzo Oshimi looked like something I would be interested in. Having finished it, I find myself conflicted about recommending it. I go into more details (no specific spoilers but I do give an idea of how the narrative changes) and post some pages.

DC and Kodansha are collaborating on Batman mangas. Writer Satoshi Miyakawa and illustrator Keisuke Gotō are working on a manga about the Joker struggling to raise a child. More info here.

You look at the show, and you look at the comic, and you can see how the former follows from the latter.

Chapter 9 of the latter's a great example, because its adaptation in Episode 17 of the former is more than direct - it adds Nano to the protagonists' attempt to build a house of cards, lengthening the proceedings with more shenanigans.

Not only do those shenanigans feel of a part with the ones in the source material, but they're also elegantly terminated - after Nano falls asleep and is dragged away from the table, events proceed as they do in the original.

Mio and Yuuko step out for a second, take a breath, and step back in.

7 Billion Needles is loosely derived from Hal Clement's science fiction novel Needle, published in 1950.

Written and drawn by Nobuaki Tadano, it was serialized in Monthly Comic Flapper from April 2008 to March 2010.

Its English release started in September 2010, with the first volume published by Vertical, a Kodonsha USA imprint (that was consolidated back into Kodonsha USA this year).

That began with something falling from space.

The protagonist, alone, looked up at the sky - and saw something loosely describe an S through it.
