I think part of the fun of being a comics fan is seeing how writers solve problems within the rules and within the history of the universe. These days, the fad seems to be every writer gets to shake up the Etch-O-Sketch and pretend no other stories had ever been written about the character, and both majors seem overly eager these days to blow up their continuity every time sales dip. I went too far in the other direction, hoping to salvage every previous appearance of Panther, including Jack Kirby’s campy version, which we refer to as 'Happy Pants Panther.'"
