The Marvelous Wizard of Oz: The First collaborative effort between Marvel and DC comics

Well it's the 80th anniversary of the MGM adaptation of the Wizard of Oz this month (the 15th would be the anniversary of the Hollywood Premiere and the 25th of the general release).

So let's look at the historic comic adaptation. I assume most of you know the film, so I am gonna post random pages that I like; 18/72 story pages.

Reaver's a high fantasy Dirty Dozen-style story.

It takes place on the continent of Madaras, being fought over by the Empire of the Common Isles and the Escalene Protectorate.

Colonel Travvos of the Empire, wanting to know why his forces were suffering reversals, was meeting with the sorcerer Marris.

Marris demonstrated his power, which Travvos disdained as " Raelish tricks ", by lighting a map on fire.

" As I said, tricks. Interesting, but we've not found them to be terribly useful. "

" I believe General Mellos would disagree. How many men did he lose to the Nimo war parties? "

Marris' associate Thes stepped into the conversation, smothering the burning map with her hands.
