The Swamp Thing (2021-) #14 is plants from space and man's works on Earth.

Issue #13'd ended with Levi Kamei, depowered as avatar of the Green in favor of his more aggressive brother, being approached by Hal Jordan of the Green Lantern Corps about the alien plants.

In space, Levi - still connected to the Green via one supporter in the Parliament of Trees, clad in a power ring-created suit - and Hal considered the plants surrounding the Earth.

" They were called here by the Green. " Levi explained.

" By the planet.. this living world. And they're gathering to fight a war. "

" Against whom, Levi? "

" Against us.. our machinations. "

( Levi pivoted from exposition to self-remonstration. )

It's so funny because if you started from a position of a critically acclaimed run on Hellblazer and then somebody suggested to you that you take all the vibes, things that worked, and ingredients and staple them all onto the Suicide Squad you'd think, "What the fuck are you talking about?! Ghost Rider #5 (legacy #248)

See, this is more what I expect/want from a Ghost Rider comic - our hero taking part in a supernatural Wacky Races / Mario Kart / Road Rash event. The writing, unfortunately, still seems intent on a brooding monologue narrating everything, an ill fit IMHO.

Also, a revelation regarding the FBI agents pursuing Johnny Blaze...
