However, let us acknowledge Bishop Mariann Budde's heartfelt and articulate plea to POTUS 47 et al to remember the importance of mercy. A plea which was either ignored, or not understood, by the target audience. The dubious theological loops some evangelical groups went into to try and discredit such a simple statement of a basic, important, virtue has been fascinating, if depressing.
Yesterday was the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, and the memorial service was powerful indeed.On a desperately needed lighter note, it's the fortieth anniversary of Tetris being released. So let's hear your favourite old school/retro video game! :)
