If there's one thing I've learned about Marvel, it's that we're never free of Parker Robbins.

There's scores of reserve Avengers languishing in limbo because they're not movie material, but we'll get Parker Robbins foisted on us until we all die.

Read has an extraordinarily dangerous powerset if he can pull someone who didn't actually exist except as an assumed ID and make them a living, breathing entirely self aware entity.

Much like Dani Moonstar's old (and equally irritating) wishing power, what if he reads the words "black hole" or "ebola outbreak" or "New York looked like Genosha the day after the Sentinels attacked" or even "The floor is lava"?

Well granted I don't know about every mutant out there but there's been a lot of stuff like "I can vomit up a magical deus ex machina because I'm an Inhuman, deal with it!" that I didn't really see with the X-Men all that much.

I feel that has a lot to do with x-men's Deus ex often being Time Travel or one specific character being used over and over.

True, and don't forget perhaps the most powerful, and apparently innocuous one of the lot, eternal cosmic moppet Franklin Richards, who has casually created entire universes, and seemingly manipulated his own aging proces, and everyone's perception of same, for the past forty-plus years.

Didn't he create a person from everyone's memories of a dead character and the recreation was unstable and flawed due to all the holes in her background? How does this work here?

A better questions is WHY is this something they want to do?

I'm glad Matt called Reader out. The guy's creation may have been a bizarre magical accident, but at this point it's clear he is sentient and self-aware, so I don't see how erasing him wouldn't count as murder.
