So this was a nice surprise to find this silly little delight on my first non-work related browse of the interwebs today! :)

Bruno Redondo is having WAY too much fun with his Nightwing covers

The end of the pirate-themed trilogy involving Captain Blud and the mysterious storage facility known as "The Hold"

We saw the covers for 107 and 108

How could the possibly top those for ~~nautical nonsense~~ piratical themed adventure?
Well, this IS Dick Grayson so... yeah, they go THERE!

The next Nightwing story is set aboard a ship, as Dick investigaes a mysterious vault with his name on it. And as you might imagine

( They're taking the opportunity to put the swash in his buckle! )

Much as #87 showcased Bruno Redondo's already impressive run as a hugely creative artist by having the story unfold in one long, continuous panel, so #105 is taking a rather unsual POV for it's art perspective: First person...

Yes, the entire story is presented from the viewpoint of Dick Grayson, and I mean that literally, we see everything as he sees it.

I made a post for those who like the ladies, but we also have some lovely upcoming covers for those who like the gentleman too.

Now Bruno Redondo's artwork on the Nightwing has been good... very good... DAMN good, if I might be so bold. It's clear, and kinetic and his Dick Grayson is ridiculously pretty.

So it's a little surprising that he's only drawing one image for this issue

( But it's not what you think )

We've seen over the years that Dick Grayson

A) is VERY protective of his family, friends and team-mates, It's pretty much a defining trait.

B) is connected to pretty much EVERYONE in the spandex set

C) inspires equal levels of loyalty in others.

So, after the whole "Ric" business, there are a lot of people who are feeling VERY protective of him, and it should come as no suprise that if there's a situation involving him possibly being in danger then it's time to....

It's like calendars of firefighters with puppies... I mean, what's not to love about the concept?

It's not out until the 16th of March, so this seems VERY early, but we have a proper, full colour preview of Nightwing rescuing a persecuted puppy from perfidious pooch pluggers. (That sounded better in my head, sorry)

It's been announced that as of issue 78, in March next year, Nightwing's title will be written by Tom Taylor and drawn by Bruno Redondo
