The Priest/Pagulayan Superman series, Lost, is off to a strong start. A very Supermanny Superman. Al Kennedy, House to Astonish
Our story begins with some domesticity in the Kent/Lane household. Clark is trying to fix a toaster, Lois is writing an article. A pager goes off. It's Clark's, so he jets away.
We return to see Lois slumped over her laptop, hours later, awoken by the arrival of Superman into the house. He is standing in the apartment, just looking out of the window.

Now, ontologically, if we succeed, if Malik somehow redeems Black Adam, BA becomes instantly less interesting. This is what we do – glamorize the villain, say Darth Vader, and then try and redeem him so the Ewoks can dance. Vader murdered billions. Don’t sing any damned songs about him. There Is No Redemption For Black Adam. The minute you give in to fan wishes and change him into Captain Nice Guy, it’s over. And it’s a cheat. -- Christopher J. Priest

So Issue 6, Batman comes for him, and don't miss that one. That's going to be, and again, no offense to the other writers. If Batman wanted to take on Black Adam, he wouldn't assemble a team. He's Batman, you kidding? What team? What? Batman doesn't need no stinking team. If Batman was going to come after Black Adam, this is how he would do it. Read Issue 6. -- Christopher J. Priest

I'm even more surprised that this book is actually coming out. I never thought we'd get this far. I just thought somebody, somewhere, in some office, wearing a tie, was going to see this thing and go, 'Oh my God, fire that guy! We can't print this! This is too edgy for what we do here.' But apparently not, so I apologize to DC. -- Christopher J. Priest
