R.e.b.e.l.s 22 is a good Starfire issue. She's empathetic and uninhibited and for the first time in a long time, no mention of Nightwing anywhere (!!)

Two pages from R.E.B.E.L.S. 18, a book I'm thoroughly enjoying, about the budding relationship between Captain Comet and Starfire -- I have to say, I think it's a much better fit than Starfire and Animal Man, and handled much better, of course!

There's a threat in the Blackest Night that doesn't wear Nekron's colors; it's Starro and his many varieties of mind control starfish.

With nine galaxies' worth of thralls plus an elite vanguard of willing slaves, Starro the Conqueror now turns his gaze on our chunk of the universe.

So far he's been conquering us pretty good; the Gil'dishpan, the Dominators, Despero, Vril Dox's LEGION, nothing's stood for long against him.

( Sure, Vril Dox's countermoves and the Lord of the Unliving's actions have stalled him temporarily.. )

The DC Source has a preview of R.E.B.E.L.S including a catch up on Lyrl Dox, Son of Vril Dox, Great Uncle of Querl Dox.

( I'm guessing the aging is an alien thing. )

He grew up quickly, if I remember rightly the last time we saw him was showcase '96. The Reboot Legion are trapped in the 20th century and Brainiac 5 has inadvertantly awakened Brainiac 1. Vril gets the call and he decides to go and take down his dad.
