The Good:
Pete Tomasi and Patrick Gleason on BnR! News at CBR
While I really enjoy Morrison on BnR and think it was kind of his title to start with, I'm excited about this and think it should be interesting. I found that Morrison could be a bit hit or miss within BnR (like issues 7-9) and I'm not a fan of needing crib notes to read my comics.
Also, the not-so Good, imo, from the source , Tony Daniel is re-confirmed as the writer on Batman after Morrison and Milligan are done.
Some tl;dr thoughts on this under the cut, scroll through if you're not interested...
( Soapbox rant )
And also a comparison of Bat and Batkid title sales in June.
( So happy to see BoP sales )

Also news about Cass Cain fanart comp.
( Four pages and a video )
Right, regarding the "Where in the World is Cass Cain?" fanart comp. I'm hoping to get the results up by Saturday at the latest, but my previous judging entry was foiled by the accidental application of a glass of water to my laptop. My laptop's okay, but I'm having to collect things up again.
If you do have an entry that I don't already have, please post it here though so I can judge it some more.

A while ago, I began a competition to see what Cass Cain, former Batgirl, is up to in the DCU at the moment, considering she just kind of vanished into the ether after stripping to her skivvies in 'Batgirl 1'.
Here are the Entries. :)

It's a change that's been years in the making - literally.
When she was first introduced to the Marvel Universe, Araña was meant to inherit the Spider-Girl title - an intention that was left unspoken until years later, Tom DeFalco confirmed suspicions on the Spider-Girl Comic Boards.
And now, years later, it's happening.
Except a full announcement from Marvel soon.

So, um. Here's a thing.
As near as I can figure, this is from what started out as a magazine called Rampaging Hulk, later shortened to The Hulk!, that Marvel published in the late Seventies. This particular selection is from a story called "A Very Personal Hell," from issue #23, published in 1980, and was written by Jim Shooter and drawn by John Buscema and Alfredo Alcala.
In it, Bruce is on the run following a botched attempt to steal some information that might give him a clue how to reverse his transformations into the Hulk. He checks into a YMCA to spend the night, and, uh...
Perhaps a word of explanation here. This was right around the time of the smash success of the Incredible Hulk TV series, the whole reason for the Rampaging Hulk magazine's existence in the first place, as Marvel tried to use the series' popularity to capture an upscale market. In that vein, then-editor Shooter apparently decided the magazine would be a good showcase for more "grim-n-gritty" storytelling; less Silver Surfer, more Starsky and Hutch. In that vein, he decided to make his first story for the magazine especially hard-hitting and realistic.
So. Bruce at the Y.

( Warning for attempted rape and MASSIVE homophobia )
