Recently published comics elaborate on Kylo's start of darkness, presenting details that honestly should have been covered by the movies. Below I present excerpts from The Rise of Kylo Ren #1 (first batch of pictures) and Snoke one-shot (second batch of pictures). I also discuss contents of other one-shots from Age of Resistance series, therefore spoilers apply. Also, spoilers to a crucial scene from The Force Awakens.

It's my cruelest portrayal of Superman that I've ever done, that makes him out to be the worst he can possibly be. I'm hoping people will really dig it, because it's almost a roast of modern comics, including my own. -- Grant Morrison

In RWBY #2, set right after season 3, Marguerite Bennett presents Blake's backstory never fully shown in the cartoon. It's a cautionary tale similar to Harley's (whom the author had previously written), and as with Harley, the end of the storyline hints at possible future lesbian relationship (it makes sense only when you are familiar with the cartoon). Four pages (eight half pages) out of twenty.
