I sometimes like Warren EllisMark Millar, but sometimes his reach exceeds his grasp, IMHO. At the same time as he was doing some very interesting stuff else with StormwatchAztek, he was freelancing for Marvel and doing....other things.

These books sound interesting

DC's solicits for November are up. Here's a few that, based on their solicitation text, cover, or both, sound intriguing.

I'm not saying these are the books I'll be buying. Some of the ones here I'm skipping because I don't care for the creative team. Other books that are not listed here I'm still getting because I do have faith in the creative team. I'm just saying these are some titles where I felt the solicitation did a good job of eliciting, "Hey, this sounds interesting." Kudos to the writer/cover artist/editor/whoevers responsible. (That's a good question, actually. Who usually writes the solicitation text for a book?)
