AKA proof that Greg Land can actually be decent. I bought this when I was just getting into comics, from the first comic book store I ever set foot in. Ah, memories...
Some of you might remember Crossgen Comics, the hot new comic company from the late 90s/early 2000s that went belly-up not even a decade later. I personally think a lot of Crossgen's stuff was really good and unique, and it's too bad the company didn't last. It tried to have something for everyone, dipping into many different genres but with a concept connecting all of them (the Sigil-bearers characters)
So, Sojourn. Lord of the rings style fantasy/adventure series featuring a female protagonist, written by Ron Marz and drawn by Greg Land. Here's a series' summary from Wikipedia:
A woman named Arwyn, her dog Kreeg, and a one-eyed man named Gareth travel throughout the lands of the planet Quin looking for five shards of a magic arrow to defeat the evil dictator of the land, Mordath.
( In this series, the main character isn't the Sigil-bearer, the bad guy is. 7 pages out of 22, warning for violence and implied death of a child. )
