The former's winning can seem too obvious, the latter's too obviously contrived.

When whoever does does, it can read like their view of things' being touted over the other's.

Those problems weren't in the Punisher and Spidey's fights in Avenging Spider-Man #22.

It probably helped that the Spider in question was Superior.

Since this hasn't been posted here yet and a few issues have passed, it falls to me to post some snippets from Avenging Spider-man #17, guest starring everyone's favourite mechanoid freelance peacekeeping agent.

That's Death's Head, in case you weren't paying attention, yes?

Yep, it turns out that Iron Man isn't the only place he's shown up lately. Except this version of the character might look a bit more... familiar to those who followed his original adventures under the pen of Simon Furman.

And Otto-Spider-man is called by The Fantastic Four to help out with a very important task.

Baby-sitting for the Future Foundation.

It goes about as well as you might expect.

Amazing Spider-Man is being "cancelled" with it's 700th issue and is being rebooted, presumably as part of the Marvel Now or whatever Joe Quesada is calling it.

Calling it: The original numbering will be back with #800, just like they did before with #500.

Also of note is the "epilogue" taking place in Avenging Spider-Man #15.1.

Zeb Wells is really an underrated writer, and pretty much entirely due to him, Avenging Spider-Man's been a pretty fun book so far. Issue #5 was particularly good.
