SO there's more than one 'wave' of these things. With no warning of where to find them, or how many there are! The first one was in 'Ghost Rider: Final Vengeance' #6, and the second both 'Immortal Thor' #15 and 'The Ultimates' #4. So, some of these are repeated in different issues? But not every Marvel comic has one.

No rhyme. No reason.

For some reason, Marvel decided to publish a comic starring Deadpool & Wolverine to coincide with the movie, but rather than as a single issue they spread it piecemeal as backups in various ongoing series. Over eight parts. Given that I did not alter my purchasing habits just to find the whole story, I only got three of the eight parts.

But there were ALSO numerous parody adverts sprinkled through issues - I found only one in an X-Traction branded issue, and another in the first issue of Ultraman X Avengers, so I have NO IDEA how many of them are out there.

Here are the two I have, based on ads that are NOT cake-related, for once. Written by Ryan North.

"Wade is a wild card and he's hard to trust or predict…it's like willingly letting a tornado into your life… but if you can't handle the tornado at dinner, maybe don't call the tornado when you need help, y'know? So it's fair I think for Wade to be feeling a bit resentful about that and when a way to break into Krakoa sort of drops in his lap, of course he's going to take it." - Kelly Thompson

Probably the furthest I've gone in terms of formal experimentation - it was going to be just a fun thing, but then it spiraled out of control into this deeply creatively and mentally challenging project. Which makes it sound less fun - but for the reader, I can promise that it'll be incredible fun. You'll know what I mean when it gets announced. It's so fun. -- Al Ewing

"For all practical intents and purposes, DEADPOOL was Joe Kelly in much the same way the current incarnation of BLACK PANTHER is me. I worried a lot about stepping into Joe's slot, and knew there'd be a great migration of DEADPOOL's very few readers after Joe left. I was tapped by Editor Ruben Diaz because he and I had a good relationship, and he knew I had a sense of humor. But, humor can be very subjective: Joe's humor played off of the sensibilities and expectations of the hard-core fans; people who knew the history of even obscure characters in unnerving detail. My humor attacks those expectations; it works against the polarity DEADPOOL operated on for three years." - Christopher Priest
