"[Editor] Dafna [Pleban] and I were talking about this as New Frontier for Power Rangers. It just made us smile thinking about it." - Kyle Higgins

It didn't do so for the physical world with its main character, who was hunting a killer in the Cloud World of the AIs.
It did so for the physical world with two of the supporting characters.
One was a detective working the case of the robot that'd killed.
The other programmed that kind of robot.
( Their conversation turned to development. )

It's another take on Magnus, Robot Fighter.
Like the other Gold Key revamps set up in The Sovereigns #0, it's tangential to its source material.
This Magnus doesn't hurt robots with her bare hands.
She helps them with her words. She's a psychologist for robots.
It's the year 2020. Those robots, the servants that humanity built, want freedom.
They've achieved a measure of it- they have a world for their consciousnesses to thrive in.
Those consciousnesses are stifled outside that world.
( Humans don't care about the health of AI unless it affects them directly. )

It began in the year 2520.
It then jumped back five hundred years, to King Turok of the Lost Valley.
He stood, a troubled protector.
To his brother Andar, he spoke again of his dreams.
" I dreamt of a great death, taking root in my valley and spreading throughout the world.
" A roaring shadow.. "
( It was not an appropriate dream for the occasion. )

Never leave yourself an obvious weakness.

Don't do so if you're someone used to being more than whatever you face.
You might find yourself facing someone who's been feeling the other way.
Certainly, things'll go your way at first; probably, they'll go so to the last.
Maybe, though, they might go something like this.
( They might go as painful as this. )

Two men from the FBI told Chicago's then-mayor Richard J. Daley (a real person) to get that and the other cases of supervillainy in his city dealt with before their Director Hoover got the National Guard involved.
So Daley met with Geoffrey Warner, the head of the city's on-strike superhero union C.O.W.L., to tell him that his organization'd get the advantageous contract with the city they were asking for.
Warner, who was working with the mobster Camden Stone and his superpowered thugs to get things to this point, asked for more.
Daley said that that wasn't possible.
" Then you have a real problem. "
" You can't- "
" Of course I can. I have the power here, Richard. Not you. And every hour you stall puts Alderman Hayes at further risk.
" Tick tock, Mr. Mayor. The alderman's life.. "
( ..he said, as he walked away.. )
