Golden Age Wonder Woman
Jun. 1st, 2009 12:14 pm![[identity profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/openid.png)
Just one image today, from Wonder Woman #7, 1943.

(Larger version here.)
Man, when I was that age I'd have given anything to be able to throw pianos at pesky grownups. Woulda served them all right.
Also, "Amazon piano"?
Since there's just one WW image today, under the cut are a few Superman-related lolcats. Wasn't sure how to tag superlolcats. Suggestions?

Week of Doom: Unthinkable
Jun. 1st, 2009 02:18 pm![[identity profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/silk/identity/openid.png)
Since this is Doom week, we revisit one of Doom's other forays into the nether world, and his need to tap magic to do what science could not.
To give him the power that should rightfully be Doom's.
But first, there is one that he must seek... and he visits different types of fortune tellers to find someone. His past catches up with him as he catches up with... her.

Week of Doom: A Choice of Dooms

Curses. I was working on scanning some more Doom 2099 and remembered something when reading the Unthinkable entry. We lost a great Doom moment from Fantastic Four vol. 3 #54 aka "A Choice of Dooms" that was posted awhile ago. Given it's a week of Doom, now is the perfect time to revisit it.

*Note it is not actually my birthday. It is in June but I won't be around.
The current series of Green Arrow/Black Canary leaves much to be desired, so I went looking for Ollie and Dinah in happier times, and there is a lot of it from the Grell run (and yes, unhappy times and torture and Ollie being a big man-child as he can be). I'm posting here some scans of some of one of my favorite features of the Grell run, that is, the clear passage of time as marked by Ollie's birthdays.
There are 10 scans, from Longbow Hunters #1, Green Arrow #10, #21, #51, and #63. The Longbow Hunters is in trade, alas the others are not.

Happy Birthday all you June babies!
