Realm of Kings continues, as more and more players become involved in using the aftermath of the Breach to their advantage. CosmicBookNews has better previews of Nova #32.

The penultimate issue of Kurt Busiek's run on The Avengers brought a close to the Kang War by showing the reconstructive and mourning efforts. As part of the story, Iron Man, after the Avengers learn that Duane Freeman, who'd been their Washington security liason since almost the beginning of Busiek's run, had died in Kang's radiation attack on D.C., asks to be the one to meet his brother when the brother arrives to collect Duane's personal belongings.

Unfortunately, I don't have the issues with the fight that they mention (but from what I remember, it was a doozy), but here's the meeting between Tony and Derek, and Tony's actions afterward.

We're at the end of an era. The previous 25 years of Ninja Turtles is going to step aside for a new generation due to the recent Nickelodeon sale (more thoughts on that and the Turtles Forever below the scans).

On Flickr, somebody presumably living in or staying in Europe has put up images from that Italian X-Men graphic novel that Chris Claremont and Italian superstar artist Milo Manara did. Right here. Anyone want to translate what the back cover, which is in one the images, says?

The book stars Storm, Rogue, Rachel Summers, Sage, Kitty Pryde, and Psylocke, and it's about pirates in Madripoor.

Wow, somehow I completely missed the news that Red, a mini-series Warren Ellis and Cully Hamner did, is being made into a movie. This is excellent news, as I absolutely love the mini-series. It's definitely one of the strongest of Ellis's shorter works.

And the casting so far sounds good. I'm hoping the fact that it was able to draw so many high-caliber actors (Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, Helen Mirren, and John C. Reilly) means it had a really good script. I realize a lot of this is very old news but it's new to me.

So, for my first post in the new digs, here's 12 pages from the mini-series...

Power Pack's pretty much the kid-friendly package of Marvel you can let your kids read, which I guess was what my dad thought of so he bought quite a lot of Power Pack comics back in the day for me to read.

I mean, space ponies, magical space ponies that bestowed powers on kids (Animorphs has a suspiciously similar origin, hm) and evil Snarks - snake lizard people!

It's so adorable and family friendly fun!

Not really )

PS: Btw tell me if you guys want scans to be a little bigger next time. I'm not using my normal laptop when I'm using the scanner to post things, and I'm not sure what's a more comfortable resolution for the majority of you to see the scans. Personally, it's a little small on my side, but it might be perfectly legible for you guys so I don't want to go overboard on the scan sizes.

hey i just wanted to say that i just recently read the newest Detective comics, and while the as always the Question stuff was great, i really liked the Batwoman portion. I know alot of people were peeved at the whole "Buxom lipstick lesbian" promotion, and have since then come to appreciate the character.

all that said, i loved this scene from the latest issue. It shows Kate's homosexuality does not define her, rather, it is her strength of character.

PS i could use some help with the Cut.... the scan is not showing...

The Catwoman #82 post reminded me of the request by thokstar for final issues from the January Blackest Night one-shots. This is my first post so correct me at will. It may not be dial-up friendly - 6 pages out of 22. ;)
