Joe Phillips, an awesome artist I met last year at OzCon, is working on a new Comic called The Midsummer's Knight inspired by Shakespeare's play of almost the the same name. A couple images behind the cut, but check out the site for much more.

For those who follow such things, "Rule 63" states that "For any given male character, there is a female version of that character" and vice versa...

Normally, I'd wait for the weekend for this, but after the rather blatant efforts on "Red Hood and the Outlaws" I think we need a little counterbalancing action, don't you?

I'm indebted to northstarfan for pointing out a site to me, where Joe has a gallery showcasing his "Beefcake Heroes" collection (Warning, vaguely NSFW... unless your place of work doesn't mind you ogling guys getting their tops off on company time in which case... you lucky bugger you!)

Ah this issue. I knew I'd reach it sooner or later.

While I love Bloodlines and it's characters there's one that I'm not surprised never made a return appearance. The New Blood known simply as Jamm. I can't say I hate his story or powers themselves but how the character handled said powers and acted was certainly groan inducing not to mention his powers were also a bit too much.

Wish I'd remembered this story for our 'housewarming' though that's in the past, so now is as good a time as any for it. From Mister Miracle #26 & #27.

This is cut from Mister Miracle, Volumn 2, #11(22 pages). Scott and Barda settle in the small town of Bailey, Connecticut, trying to have what they think is a "normal" life and so far, it hasn't been so successful. Trying to maintain a secret identity while being attacked by an arch-nemesis, drone clones and various other problems, has pushed scott to the limits of his patience.

( And people thought they had to worry about Barda's temper )
