God and Goddess

Dark Horse recently revived the old Gold Key property Turok, Dinosaur Hunter. He was a comic book character first, but he's perhaps best known these days for the video games.

Anyway, it's a Native American warrior fighting dinosaurs. How can you go wrong with that, right? Two issues in and Jim Shooter's doing some wacky stuff mixing and matching the people of different geographies and historical periods, which the patchwork setting of the series provides him ample opportunity for.
( In dinosaur country, anyone can be a god )

Batman Rogues Mashup

Batman, for me , has the greatest rogue gallery , and some of them have some relatable themes between them, what if you made a mash-up of them?

The Genesis of Enigma

Sorry guys, no Bat-rogue here. I just wanted to share one of my most favorite, lesser known Vertigo comics, that I took a look at off a whim and fell in love with and dreamt about.
Enigma, by Peter Milligan.
There is a lot I cannot in good faith spoil in this post, but mostly this works around how, when you don't grow up around the usual social constructs, you tend to see the world a lot differently.
This post would be about an unnamed man sees the world, because he pretty much.... grew up in a well in Arizona. And got godlike powers simply because nothing told him he couldn't have them.
I have a great great weakness for theological/mythological subversion.
( God held me in the sky, and she dropped me into the world. )

The Booth is no words

It's pretty good, with some interesting ideas (and some repeated ones). I kind of want to sit down and just read through both series in one go to get the full feel of the book, instead of dipping in and out over the course of a few weeks.
For the uninitiated, the Umbrella Academy are the result of mysterious births. 7 of them were adopted by the Monocle/Sir Reginald Hargreeves, 6 of them had super powers. He assembled them into a superhero team.
We begin pretty quickly, with the child ( Umbrella Academy against the Lincoln Monument. )

With the obvious Pony in the Joker role...

His Face All Red

So I found this story and really enjoyed it, and I wanted to share it with you all. I considered saving all the images from this and posting them here, but I think that would do the story and the artist/writer a grave disservice, given its set up and presentation on the website. You'll know what I mean when you read it. As for the story itself, the less said the better, so without further ado...

Greetings True Believers!
Here are some scans from The Mighty Thor #1 and this series looks to be very good.
I'm looking to the new relationship between Loki and Thor and of course, VOLSTAGG ups the awesome level.
Enjoy!

The Trial of Sinestro

From EMERALD DAWN II: 90 Days. Some of the details of how Sinestro got kicked out of the Green Lantern Corps. I don't know to what degree Geoff Johns' "Secret Origin" changed it, although I know Hal Jordan didn't serve 90 Days for drunk driving anymore.
