Imagine the following scenario:

You have a new girlfriend - one that you like very, very much. Unfortunately, because you are a teenage vigilante, she doesn't know your name. After one perfect night on the town, in uniform, blending with a crowd of sci-fi geeks in costumes, she tells you that she's pregnant. With another guy's kid.

You are Timothy Drake. What do you do?

It's been noted that we've been ignoring our perennial favourite hero in the "One Perfect Moment week. It takes a whole lot of work to keep our little Robin (as he was in all these pictures) in shape and he works very, very hard at it. (For which we are all terribly grateful)

Maybe I'm bitter about a lot of things DC has done lately...

*cough-batmanrip-battleforthecowl-goddamndamien-cough*

Or maybe it's just that Art Baltazar and the Tiny Titans are made of win.

Ohayo gozaimasu, minna-Scans!

Yesterday I posted One Perfect Moment of the Pied Piper and was asked to post a few of his "power of music" moments.

I must also thank Icon_UK for posting One Perfect Coming-out, which has long been hailed as a perfect example of how to handle such a moment. To date, all of Piper's relationship scenes have been handled with such dignity, including his bittersweet love story, "Sound and Fury." To Mark Waid and William Messner-Loebs, thank you.

I think it goes without saying that even through all of the shit the DC writers put her through, Stephanie Brown is without a doubt one of the best young female characters in the DC universe. She's certainly my favourite, anyway. Throughout her career she has had many moments of sheer awesome to choose from, but the one I present to you now kind of trumps all of them, for me at least, because she manages to do something that even Batman couldn't do.

There's been a few scenes posted from Joss Whedon's Astonishing X-men for One Perfect Moment Week, but this one's slipped through. The one moment from his run that I actually do consider perfect and perhaps because, in four speechless panels John Cassaday conveys more emotion than Whedon did through all of his Buffy-eque dialogue in the entire run.

By the way, does anyone else feel a "Why We Miss Kitty Pryde Week" coming on?

Those not well-versed in the Silver Age JLA often ask: "Why would the world's greatest super-heroes let some teenaged punk like Snapper Carr hang out with them?"

Answer: "Because somebody's got to save their sorry asses."

Yesterday I posted  the sweet return of Superboy's first love, Tana Moon. Kon was happy to have her, but according to comic book law, whatever joy you feel with someone, it will only be MORE scaring when that person dies. The scans coem from "Superboy 74"

I hope I got everything right this time.

Oh boy.

As the board says where I nabbed these scans from, let the vitroil flow freely.

Despite the fact that these scans are hilarious, I also think they really represent what a good Justice League is all about. I'll go into detail after the pictures. This is from JLA: The Hypothetical Woman, written by Gail Simone (which would explain why it is so awesome) with art by Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez.

The other moments posted are awesome, but I picked this one for pure badass and style. Behold, the most epic "Fuck you!" ever delivered in comics, and one of the few bright spots in the load of crap that was Countdown.

Two issues that aren't in the collections of 'The Lightning Saga' or 'Superman and the Legion of Super-heroes'. So here are the legion events to connect the dots and give some clues as to what happens in LO3W.

There's an interview by Greg Rucka over at IGN about his upcoming run on Detective Comics.

Anyone here NOT planning on buying 'Tec? If so, why?

One of my favorite webcomics right now is Fans!(the exclamation point is part of the spelling) by T. Campbell and Jason Waltrip.  The title involves the Billberg Science Fiction Club, a SF club/RPG community that finds itself dealing with terrorists, alien invaders, shadowy criminal conspiracies, mad scientists and other assorted threats.  The theme is that humanity's greatest asset is its ability to imagine and dream, and that in an increasingly weird world, it's the weird who will rise to the occasion to save us.  You can read it here; www.faans.com. Be warned; there's close to two thousand pages of material thus far.  You thought Girl Genius was a great way to waste time(which it is), wait'll you get a load of Fans!  Plus T. Campbell likes to play with formats; some pages are extra long or extra wide, some stories are done by guest artists with their own unique styles, he occasionally plays with GIFs, and one story even features original MP3 files(his homage to the Buffy musical, I think).

I'm choosing a couple of favorite moments from the series.  Not dial-up friendly.
